In the book the characters in my opinion where in there thoughts to much explaining and bringing light to obvious things that made it a little drawn out causing me to force my way through certain parts all through the book.

How can so much angst be this boring?

The first sex scene is dull and overwrought with the character internal monologues about the power struggle they are engaged in. The she starts working for him, he’s sexually harassing her, and she doesn’t have the self-respect to refuse to have a relationship with her boss, transfer to a different supervisor, or transfer to a different firm. There is no plot support for why this is a Cinderella story, it’s more like a tedious bad analogy to give an interesting title. Definitely won’t be buying any of the other books in this series.

Loved it!

One of the very few where I’ve ignored the editing & given it 5 stars. It grabbed me from the start: funny, steamy, with a plot that wasn’t overdone. I couldn’t put it down for more than a few minutes before hurrying back. Worth reading! I’m definitely going to check out more books by this author.

This book made me all kinds of warm loving feeling. Cole is truly a prince, captivating his princess. Cole and Lori’s love came from learning to trust and support one another. A team that built an unstoppable relationship from work to home. Sexy and beautiful couple!

Amazing!

Absolutely love this book! This was my first book by this author and it definitely won’t be my last. I love any story that has a hint of a fairy tail to it and this book definitely did not disappoint. I haven’t read book one yet but i didn’t feel like I was lost in this book. Definitely can read the series out of order. I just picked up the first one in this series today. Can’t wait.

Lori wants nothing more than to be an attorney when she has to put her dreams on hold when her dad passes away and leaves them losing everything and she has to work four jobs to pay off all their debt and tiny run down apartment and take care of her mom who had a stroke. When she runs into Cole and goes home with him she leaves no traces of who she is. Wanting nothing but a one night stand which is something she never does she sneaks out in the morning. things start looking up for Lori when She wins an award internship to finally go after what she always wanted. Until she realized fate has brought them together again but as Cole as her boss. Will they be able to fight the attraction? Will they be able to work through what the past has damaged? Will Lori be able to trust again? This book was so good. Love how Cole never gives up and proves no matter what he cares and will always be there. Arc given to me by author.

Hot and steamy

Lisa Renee Jones does not disappoint! This stand alone in the Dirty Rich books. Lori, an assistant to Cat from the Dirty Rich One Night Stand book, is working four jobs to make ends meet. Her world all came crashing down at one time, her father died and her mother had a stroke. Lori dropped out of Stanford Law School even though she was the top of her class to take care of her mom and working to try to dig them out of the financial hole her father left them. In the process of running from one job to another she run into a man on the street spilling her bag on the street. She is instantly attracted to him but is in a rush to get to her job. Later, Cat ask her to meet in a bar at their building. She thinks Cat is going to fire her but instead Cat informs her that she and Reese have nominated her for a scholarship that will allow her to finish law school as well as pay her a monthly stipend. However, Cat needs to run and leaves Lori alone telling her to order what ever she wants and put it on her tab. It isn't long before she is encountered by the man she ran into, Cole. She ends up going home with him for the night, allowing him to spank her, but she refuses to give him her last name but this is a one time thing, she can't risk more. The following morning, she leaves while Cole is in the shower. Cole knew he shouldn't have left her alone and now he has to go back to Houston to finish up so that they can complete this merger. He can't get Lori off his mind. No woman does this to him. He has women when he wants them but that is it, nothing more. When he arrives in Houston, he ask his assistant to track down a lawyer in New York named Lori, spelled L-O-R-I. He can't give her any other details. Unfortunately, the lawyers Ashley tracks down by the name Lori, checking alternate spellings as well, is not her. He can't get her off his mind, even turning down the ADA that he has occasionally slept with over the years. The merger in place he returns to New York, where he has joined forces with Reese. It is also Lori's first day as part of her scholarship program. Both of them are taken aback when they encounter each other at the introduction of the new partner, Cole Brooks. This begins the push and pull between them as Lori is assigned to Cole's team. He will be her mentor. However, he wants, no needs, much more with Lori. Lori doesn't want to be accused of sleeping her way to the top. She doesn't want to be at the mercy of Cole's position or money, she won't let him have that hold that over her. Lori doesn't want a man to take care of her, she can take care of herself. She will not be in the position that her father left her mother in, debt, struggling, living in a tiny apartment. She will dig them out on her own. The push and pull goes on. Lori and Cole make an excellent legal team. She assist him with a case of a diva actress in L.A. Things seem to be going well, Lori is spending most nights with Cole, but returning home before her mother gets home from work. One of her rules was that Cole not come to her apartment but he breaks that rule, even coming inside when invited by her mother, and she can't deal with him taking over her life. She tells him she needs space. After going to pay on her mother's hospital bill and finding out it has been paid off Lori goes to Cole's. She is absolutely LIVID by this point but it doesn't end at all as she expects.

Dirty Rich thoughts

Great read! Just enough drama to get you going and definitely enough sexy scenes to get you hot and bothered! Loved the plot and loved how independent our heroine is. I did feel like things were said or emphasized but nothing really came of it. Also hoped for a bit more court/cases scenes. Nevertheless, extremely enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This is book two of the Dirty Rich Series but it can be read alone. This is Lori’s and Cole’s Story. Lori had to drop out of law school after her father’s death and the sroke of her mother. She works three jobs to help pay the bills. Lori meets Cole and there is instant attraction. They act on that attraction for one night only, with no names being exchanged and no promises being given. One of her bosses, Cat and Reese Summer (from the first book), sponsor her for a grant so she can go back to school, finish her degree, and intern at a law office. This leads her right into the arms of her mysterious lover of one night, Cole Brooks. Not wanting to spoil a beautifully written story, let me just say that this story did not disappoint. There are twists and turns, misunderstandings, and enough romance that will keep you wanting more.

This book was perfect! You know you’ve got the perfect book if you can feel the tension, love, hate, anger and fear between the characters. I felt all of it and more! Lisa is an a wonderful author. I absolutely love her work!! Lori and Cole’s story can be read alone. However, if you’ve read her other work, you’ll love having the guest appearances. This is definitely a must read book! You will not be disappointed!

Amazing, hot and a must read

I absolutely loved this book to the point that I couldn’t put it down. Lori is a strong woman that wants to provide for her and her mother. Get them out of the mess her father left them in. She wants to earn her spot and not have it handed to her. Cole is rich and sexy. He runs into Lori and he can’t stop thinking about her. He struggles to find her until one day at the new office. He has her on his team to mentor her and get through the scholarship program. Cole has her on some of his cases and they blow it out of the park together. They work good and hard together. They feed off one another and make a good team. Their relationship has some struggles and issues but nothing they can’t work out together. She needs to learn to trust him more. He needs to listen and make her feel cared and loved for. They love one another and it showed from the beginning and I liked out they had to work at it and that it didn’t come easy. The struggle of her life compared to his wealth of his life. At the end they let go of every fear and their relationship blossoms. I loved this book. I love Cole and Lori. I can’t wait to read more. I always enjoy an LRJ story and this was no exception. Felt more emotions with this one and very much enjoyed their banter and dialogue. Sexy, witty, emotional and the mention of other people from other stories always has me perking up. A stand-alone story, but I think it’s worth reading all of her books.

Cole and Lori are great!!

Lori is truly “Miss Independence”. She will do it in her own time and on her own. Relying on someone other than herself is a good trait but there’s more to it than that. Hers is based on the lack of trust. She WILL finish her law degree and take care of her mom and all of the debt from her father and it’s her job to do it. Cole is honest and hard working and he fights for what he believes in. And when he meets, or rather, runs into, Lori on the street, he finds himself thinking of her. A lot. And when fate brings them together again (and it is Fate!), he begins to change. He wants her more. He thinks of her all the time. He needs her. He sees more for them than today. He keeps pushing because he’s head over heels. But for every step forward he takes, she’s taking two backwards. He’s going to mess it up. But she may have already done that. Trust and acceptance. And love. I loved Cole and Lori’s story. I loved the cases they worked on and Cat’s book and the ever-true support of Reese and Cat. Lori’s biggest mistake was in thinking of herself as Cinderella instead of the strong, fierce and resilient woman she really is.

Once again, Lisa did not disappoint! This is truly a stand alone. I did not read the first book in the series and was not lost at all! I loved how there was an immediate spark between Cole and Lori. Even as much as both tried to deny it, it never seemed to disappear! The passion these two have is hot!! I like how Lisa always seems to add characters from her other series into new series. Feels more personal and like a big happy family! For a quick, sexy read I recommend this book!

I can't tell you how much I adore finding heroes who are all in from the start! I'm a big fan of man chases woman scenarios. They aren't as easy to find as you would think in contemporary romance. Cole doesn't profess his love at first site but you know from their first meeting that he is ensnared by Lori. She's a game changer for him. I also love that despite this, the author doesn't make them automatically a couple. There is struggle to the new feelings they are both experiencing as well as adjusting to how their lives will change. I adored Cole and as much as I liked Lori's strong character, she did get in her own way a lot with him. This is where the Cinderella in the title comes in. Cole is a very successful lawyer who also comes from family money. Lori was unable to finish law school due to her father passing and her mother having a stroke. They have bills upon bills that have kept Lori from returning to law school. This is where Lori's strong character gets in her way. All she sees is that Cole and her come from different worlds. She wants him but she also needs to learn that his need for her will show in the way he wants to take care of her. It's a battle she will have to fight within herself and with him. As much as I love this couple, I also love watching them work together on Cole's cases. It made for a fast paced story filled with exciting drama that wasn't all about relationship drama. You also get to see some fo the Walker security men in this book. I'm a fan and I want more! ARC provided by Author.

Interesting plot

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. When I first heard about this book, I knew I was going to love it. Something about Lisa Renee Jones' writing speaks to me. Unfortunately, this didn't really live up to the hype in my head. I have always loved Lisa Renee Jones as an author but this book just fell flat for me. The characters seemed a little too perfectly imperfect. I know that sounds contradictory but it was like every flaw was created with the other character in mind. There seemed to be no growth in either character which is a shame. The one shining star in this book is the plot, I loved the twists and turns and I enjoyed reading it. It was interesting and it kept me wanting to read the rest of the book. Unfortunately, this book just wasn't for me. I'm rating it 3 stars because the plot was interesting and kept me entertained.

This love story is a stand-alone book. This is a must read story about Cole and Lori. I love how this story has engulfed me in it. Lori is just trying to get her life back after her mom was sick. Cole is a lawyer, that is not really looking for anything. But when Lori runs in to him, they both think one night is all they will need. But then life throws them back together.

This is a beautifully written modern day fairytale romance full of twist and turns, suspense and of course hotness that get you from the first page. I loved this book so much. Dirty Rich Cinderella Story by Lisa Renee Jones this is book Two in the Dirty Rich series. This is the story of Cole Brooks and Lori Havens. I have read the previous book (and loved it) but feel this can be a standalone book. Lori father died, her mother had a stroke so she had to drop out of Law School to help with her mother and find jobs that helps pay the bills for them. Lori happens to meet Cole who have a instant attraction to and they act on it but Lori ups an leaves the next morning knowing that he is out of her money status. But when later when things are going better with her mother's health she takes a intern job that leads her right to Cole again. Really enjoyed their story...a hard book to put down for sure!

I received this book as an ARC reader, but I give my honest opinion. As book 2 the story only gets better. It’s Lori and Cole’s story with a connection to book 1 One Night Stand. Cole being an attorney and Lori not far from that world, they meet, they walk away, they meet for one night..... no cliffhangers here. A Must Read!!!

Love Cinderella & her Prince Charming! I loved this book! Cole was everything, & I wish I could find a Cole! Lori frustrated me, but the beauty of Lisa’s writing is that I understood her & empathized with her. Once they decided to really be in a relationship is when the book really soared for me. I also loved that we got some glimpses of Reese & Cat from Dirty Rich One Night Stand, but you do not need to read that book to enjoy this one (but you should as it’s a great book!). Standalone! Even though it is book #2 you don’t have to read #1 to read this! I loved book #1 too though so if you like #2 as much as me you will love #1 also! As I said I loved it! How can so much angst be this boring?

The first sex scene is dull and overwrought with the character internal monologues about the power struggle they are engaged in. The she starts working for him, he’s sexually harassing her, and she doesn’t have the self-respect to refuse to have a relationship with her boss, transfer to a different supervisor, or transfer to a different firm. There is no plot support for why this is a Cinderella story, it’s more like a tedious bad analogy to give an interesting title. Definitely won’t be buying any of the other books in this series.

One of the very few where I’ve ignored the editing & given it 5 stars. It grabbed me from the start: funny, steamy, with a plot that wasn’t overdone. I couldn’t put it down for more than a few minutes before hurrying back. Worth reading! I’m definitely going to check out more books by this author.

Amazing!

Absolutely love this book! This was my first book by this author and it definitely won’t be my last. I love any story that has a hint of a fairy tail to it and this book definitely did not disappoint. I haven’t read book one yet but i didn’t feel like I was lost in this book. Definitely can read the series out of order. I just picked up the first one in this series today. Can’t wait.

Wanting nothing but a one night stand which is something she never does she sneaks out in the morning. things start looking up for Lori when She wins an award internship to finally go after what she always wanted. Until she realized fate has brought them together again but as Cole as her boss. Will they be able to fight the attraction? Will they be able to work through what the past has damaged? Will Lori be able to trust again? This book was so good. Love how Cole never gives up and proves no matter what he cares and will always be there. Arc given to me by author.

Lisa Renee Jones does not disappoint! This stand alone in the Dirty Rich books. Lori, an assistant to Cat from the Dirty Rich One Night Stand book, is working four jobs to make ends meet. Her world all came crashing down at one time, her father died and her mother had a stroke. Lori dropped out of Stanford Law School even though she was the top of her class to take care of her mom and working to try to dig them out of the financial hole her father left them. In the process of running from one job to another she run into a man on the street spilling her bag on the street. She is instantly attracted to him but is in a rush to get to her job. Later, Cat ask her to meet in a bar at their building. She thinks Cat is going to fire her but instead Cat informs her that she and Reese have nominated her for a scholarship that will allow her to finish law school as well as pay her a monthly stipend. However, Cat needs to run and leaves Lori alone telling her to order what ever she wants and put it on her tab. It isn't long before she is encountered by the man she ran into, Cole. She ends up going home with him for the night, allowing him to spank her, but she refuses to give him her last name but this is a one time thing, she can't risk more. The following morning, she leaves while Cole is in the shower. Cole knew he shouldn't have left her alone and now he has to go back to Houston to finish up so that they can complete this merger. He can't get Lori off his mind. No woman does this to him. He has women when he wants them but that is it, nothing more. When he arrives in Houston, he ask his assistant to track down a lawyer in New York named Lori, spelled L-O-R-I. He can't give her any other details. Unfortunately, the lawyers Ashley tracks down by the name Lori, checking alternate spellings as well, is not her. He can't get her off his mind, even turning down the ADA that he has occasionally slept with over the years. The merger in place he returns to New York, where he has joined forces with Reese. It is also Lori's first day as part of her scholarship program. Both of them are taken aback when they encounter each other at the introduction of the new partner, Cole Brooks. This begins the push and pull between them as Lori is assigned to Cole's team. He will be her mentor. However, he wants, no needs, much more with Lori. Lori doesn't want to be accused of sleeping her way to the top. She doesn't want to be at the mercy of Cole's position or money, she won't let him have that hold that over her. Lori doesn't want a man to take care of her, she can take care of herself. She will not be in the position that her father left her mother in, debt, struggling, living in a tiny apartment. She will dig them out on her own. The push and pull goes on. Lori and Cole make an excellent legal team. She assist him with a case of a diva actress in L.A. Things seem to be going well, Lori is spending most nights with Cole, but returning home before her mother gets home from work. One of her rules was that Cole not come to her apartment but he breaks that rule, even coming inside when invited by her mother, and she can't deal with him taking over her life. She tells him she needs space. After going to pay on her mother's hospital bill and finding out it has been paid off Lori goes to Cole's. She is absolutely LIVID by this point but it doesn't end at all as she expects.

Great read! Just enough drama to get you going and definitely enough sexy scenes to get you hot and bothered! Loved the plot and loved how independent our heroine is. I did feel like things were said or emphasized but nothing really came of it. Also hoped for a bit more court/cases scenes. Nevertheless, extremely enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This is book two of the Dirty Rich Series but it can be read alone. This is Lori’s and Cole’s Story. Lori had to drop out of law school after her father’s death and the sroke of her mother. She works three jobs to help pay the bills. Lori meets Cole and there is instant attraction. They act on that attraction for one night only, with no names being exchanged and no promises being given. One of her bosses, Cat and Reese Summer (from the first book), sponsor her for a grant so she can go back to school, finish her degree, and intern at a law office. This leads her right into the arms of her mysterious lover of one night, Cole Brooks. Not wanting to spoil a beautifully written story, let me just say that this story did not disappoint. There are twists and turns, misunderstandings, and enough romance that will keep you wanting more.

I absolutely loved this book to the point that I couldn’t put it down. Lori is a strong woman that wants to provide for her and her mother. Get them out of the mess her father left them in. She wants to earn her spot and not have it handed to her. Cole is rich and sexy. He runs into Lori and he can’t stop thinking about her. He struggles to find her until one day at the new office. He has her on his team to mentor her and get through the scholarship program. Cole has her on some of his cases and they blow it out of the park together. They work good and hard together. They feed off one another and make a good team. Their relationship has some struggles and issues but nothing they can’t work out together. She needs to learn to trust him more. He needs to listen and make her feel cared and loved for. They love one another and it showed from the beginning and I liked out they had to work at it and that it didn’t come easy. The struggle of her life compared to his wealth of his life. At the end they let go of every fear and their relationship blossoms. I loved this book. I love Cole and Lori. I can’t wait to read more. Cole and Lori are great!!

Lori is truly “Miss Independence”. She will do it in her own time and on her own. Relying on someone other than herself is a good trait but there’s more to it than that. Hers is based on the lack of trust. She WILL finish her law degree and take care of her mom and all of the debt from her father and it’s her job to do it. Cole is honest and hard working and he fights for what he believes in. And when he meets, or rather, runs into, Lori on the street, he finds himself thinking of her. A lot. And when fate brings them together again (and it is Fate!), he begins to change. He wants her more. He thinks of her all the time. He needs her. He sees more for them than today. He keeps pushing because he’s head over heels. But for every step forward he takes, she’s taking two backwards. He’s going to mess it up. But she may have already done that. Trust and acceptance. And love. I loved Cole and Lori’s story. I loved the cases they worked on and Cat’s book and the ever-true support of Reese and Cat. Lori’s biggest mistake was in thinking of herself as Cinderella instead of the strong, fierce and resilient woman she really is.

Once again, Lisa did not disappoint! This is truly a stand alone. I did not read the first book in the series and was not lost at all! I loved how there was an immediate spark between Cole and Lori. Even as much as both tried to deny it, it never seemed to disappear! The passion these two have is hot!! I like how Lisa always seems to add characters from her other series into new series. Feels more personal and like a big happy family! For a quick, sexy read I recommend this book!

I can't tell you how much I adore finding heroes who are all in from the start! I'm a big fan of man chases woman scenarios. They aren't as easy to find as you would think in contemporary romance. Cole doesn't profess his love at first site but you know from their first meeting that he is ensnared by Lori. She's a game changer for him. I also love that despite this, the author doesn't make them automatically a couple. There is struggle to the new feelings they are both experiencing as well as adjusting to how their lives will change. I adored Cole and as much as I liked Lori's strong character, she did get in her own way a lot with him. This is where the Cinderella in the title comes in. Cole is a very successful lawyer who also comes from family money. Lori was unable to finish law school due to her father passing and her mother having a stroke. They have bills upon bills that have kept Lori from returning to law school. This is where Lori's strong character gets in her way. All she sees is that Cole and her come from different worlds. She wants him but she also needs to learn that his need for her will show in the way he wants to take care of her. It's a battle she will have to fight within herself and with him. As much as I love this couple, I also love watching them work together on Cole's cases. It made for a fast paced story filled with exciting drama that wasn't all about relationship drama. You also get to see some fo the Walker security men in this book. I'm a fan and I want more! ARC provided by Author.

Interesting plot

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. When I first heard about this book, I knew I was going to love it. Something about Lisa Renee Jones' writing speaks to me. Unfortunately, this didn't really live up to the hype in my head. I have always loved Lisa Renee Jones as an author but this book just fell flat for me. The characters seemed a little too perfectly imperfect. I know that sounds contradictory but it was like every flaw was created with the other character in mind. There seemed to be no growth in either character which is a shame. The one shining star in this book is the plot, I loved the twists and turns and I enjoyed reading it. It was interesting and it kept me wanting to read the rest of the book. Unfortunately, this book just wasn't for me. I'm rating it 3 stars because the plot was interesting and kept me entertained.

Dirty Rich Cinderella Story by Lisa Renee Jones this is book Two in the Dirty Rich series. This is the story of Cole Brooks and Lori Havens. I have read the previous book (and loved it) but feel this can be a standalone book. Lori father died, her mother had a stroke so she had to drop out of Law School to help with her mother and find jobs that helps pay the bills for them. Lori happens to meet Cole who have a instant attraction to and they act on it but Lori ups an leaves the next morning knowing that he is out of her money status. But when later when things are going better with her mother's health she takes a intern job that leads her right to Cole again. Really enjoyed their story...a hard book to put down for sure!

I received this book as an ARC reader, but I give my honest opinion. As book 2 the story only gets better. It’s Lori and Cole’s story with a connection to book 1 One Night Stand. Cole being an attorney and Lori not far from that world, they meet, they walk away, they meet for one night..... no cliffhangers here. A Must Read!!!

Lori frustrated me, but the beauty of Lisa’s writing is that I understood her & empathized with her. Once they decided to really be in a relationship is when the book really soared for me. I also loved that we got some glimpses of Reese & Cat from Dirty Rich One Night Stand, but you do not need to read that book to enjoy this one (but you should as it’s a great book!). How can so much angst be this boring?

The first sex scene is dull and overwrought with the character internal monologues about the power struggle they are engaged in. The she starts working for him, he’s sexually harassing her, and she doesn’t have the self-respect to refuse to have a relationship with her boss, transfer to a different supervisor, or transfer to a different firm. There is no plot support for why this is a Cinderella story, it’s more like a tedious bad analogy to give an interesting title. Definitely won’t be buying any of the other books in this series.

Loved it!

One of the very few where I’ve ignored the editing & given it 5 stars. It grabbed me from the start: funny, steamy, with a plot that wasn’t overdone. I couldn’t put it down for more than a few minutes before hurrying back. Worth reading! I’m definitely going to check out more books by this author.

This book made me all kinds of warm loving feeling. Cole is truly a prince, captivating his princess. Cole and Lori’s love came from learning to trust and support one another. A team that built an unstoppable relationship from work to home. Sexy and beautiful couple!

Amazing!

Absolutely love this book! This was my first book by this author and it definitely won’t be my last. I love any story that has a hint of a fairy tail to it and this book definitely did not disappoint. I haven’t read book one yet but i didn’t feel like I was lost in this book. Definitely can read the series out of order. I just picked up the first one in this series today. Can’t wait.

Lori wants nothing more than to be an attorney when she has to put her dreams on hold when her dad passes away and leaves them losing everything and she has to work four jobs to pay off all their debt and tiny run down apartment and take care of her mom who had a stroke. When she runs into Cole and goes home with him she leaves no traces of who she is. Wanting nothing but a one night stand which is something she never does she sneaks out in the morning. things start looking up for Lori when She wins an award internship to finally go after what she always wanted. Until she realized fate has brought them together again but as Cole as her boss. Will they be able to fight the attraction? Will they be able to work through what the past has damaged? Will Lori be able to trust again? This book was so good. Love how Cole never gives up and proves no matter what he cares and will always be there. Arc given to me by author.

Hot and steamy

Lisa Renee Jones does not disappoint! This stand alone in the Dirty Rich books. Lori, an assistant to Cat from the Dirty Rich One Night Stand book, is working four jobs to make ends meet. Her world all came crashing down at one time, her father died and her mother had a stroke. Lori dropped out of Stanford Law School even though she was the top of her class to take care of her mom and working to try to dig them out of the financial hole her father left them. In the process of running from one job to another she run into a man on the street spilling her bag on the street. She is instantly attracted to him but is in a rush to get to her job. Later, Cat ask her to meet in a bar at their building. She thinks Cat is going to fire her but instead Cat informs her that she and Reese have nominated her for a scholarship that will allow her to finish law school as well as pay her a monthly stipend. However, Cat needs to run and leaves Lori alone telling her to order what ever she wants and put it on her tab. It isn't long before she is encountered by the man she ran into, Cole. She ends up going home with him for the night, allowing him to spank her, but she refuses to give him her last name but this is a one time thing, she can't risk more. The following morning, she leaves while Cole is in the shower. Cole knew he shouldn't have left her alone and now he has to go back to Houston to finish up so that they can complete this merger. He can't get Lori off his mind. No woman does this to him. He has women when he wants them but that is it, nothing more. When he arrives in Houston, he ask his assistant to track down a lawyer in New York named Lori, spelled L-O-R-I. He can't give her any other details. Unfortunately, the lawyers Ashley tracks down by the name Lori, checking alternate spellings as well, is not her. He can't get her off his mind, even turning down the ADA that he has occasionally slept with over the years. The merger in place he returns to New York, where he has joined forces with Reese. It is also Lori's first day as part of her scholarship program. Both of them are taken aback when they encounter each other at the introduction of the new partner, Cole Brooks. This begins the push and pull between them as Lori is assigned to Cole's team. He will be her mentor. However, he wants, no needs, much more with Lori. Lori doesn't want to be accused of sleeping her way to the top. She doesn't want to be at the mercy of Cole's position or money, she won't let him have that hold that over her. Lori doesn't want a man to take care of her, she can take care of herself. She will not be in the position that her father left her mother in, debt, struggling, living in a tiny apartment. She will dig them out on her own. The push and pull goes on. Lori and Cole make an excellent legal team. She assist him with a case of a diva actress in L.A. Things seem to be going well, Lori is spending most nights with Cole, but returning home before her mother gets home from work. One of her rules was that Cole not come to her apartment but he breaks that rule, even coming inside when invited by her mother, and she can't deal with him taking over her life. She tells him she needs space. After going to pay on her mother's hospital bill and finding out it has been paid off Lori goes to Cole's. She is absolutely LIVID by this point but it doesn't end at all as she expects.

Great read! Just enough drama to get you going and definitely enough sexy scenes to get you hot and bothered! Loved the plot and loved how independent our heroine is. I did feel like things were said or emphasized but nothing really came of it. Also hoped for a bit more court/cases scenes. Nevertheless, extremely enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This is book two of the Dirty Rich Series but it can be read alone. This is Lori’s and Cole’s Story. Lori had to drop out of law school after her father’s death and the sroke of her mother. She works three jobs to help pay the bills. Lori meets Cole and there is instant attraction. They act on that attraction for one night only, with no names being exchanged and no promises being given. One of her bosses, Cat and Reese Summer (from the first book), sponsor her for a grant so she can go back to school, finish her degree, and intern at a law office. This leads her right into the arms of her mysterious lover of one night, Cole Brooks. Not wanting to spoil a beautifully written story, let me just say that this story did not disappoint. There are twists and turns, misunderstandings, and enough romance that will keep you wanting more.

This book was perfect! You know you’ve got the perfect book if you can feel the tension, love, hate, anger and fear between the characters. I felt all of it and more! Lisa is an a wonderful author. I absolutely love her work!! Lori and Cole’s story can be read alone. However, if you’ve read her other work, you’ll love having the guest appearances. This is definitely a must read book! You will not be disappointed!

Amazing, hot and a must read

I absolutely loved this book to the point that I couldn’t put it down. Lori is a strong woman that wants to provide for her and her mother. Get them out of the mess her father left them in. She wants to earn her spot and not have it handed to her. Cole is rich and sexy. He runs into Lori and he can’t stop thinking about her. He struggles to find her until one day at the new office. He has her on his team to mentor her and get through the scholarship program. Cole has her on some of his cases and they blow it out of the park together. They work good and hard together. They feed off one another and make a good team. Their relationship has some struggles and issues but nothing they can’t work out together. She needs to learn to trust him more. He needs to listen and make her feel cared and loved for. They love one another and it showed from the beginning and I liked out they had to work at it and that it didn’t come easy. The struggle of her life compared to his wealth of his life. At the end they let go of every fear and their relationship blossoms. I loved this book. I love Cole and Lori. I can’t wait to read more. I always enjoy an LRJ story and this was no exception. Felt more emotions with this one and very much enjoyed their banter and dialogue. Sexy, witty, emotional and the mention of other people from other stories always has me perking up. A stand-alone story, but I think it’s worth reading all of her books.

Cole and Lori are great!!

Lori is truly “Miss Independence”. She will do it in her own time and on her own. Relying on someone other than herself is a good trait but there’s more to it than that. Hers is based on the lack of trust. She WILL finish her law degree and take care of her mom and all of the debt from her father and it’s her job to do it. Cole is honest and hard working and he fights for what he believes in. And when he meets, or rather, runs into, Lori on the street, he finds himself thinking of her. A lot. And when fate brings them together again (and it is Fate!), he begins to change. He wants her more. He thinks of her all the time. He needs her. He sees more for them than today. He keeps pushing because he’s head over heels. But for every step forward he takes, she’s taking two backwards. He’s going to mess it up. But she may have already done that. Trust and acceptance. And love. I loved Cole and Lori’s story. I loved the cases they worked on and Cat’s book and the ever-true support of Reese and Cat. Lori’s biggest mistake was in thinking of herself as Cinderella instead of the strong, fierce and resilient woman she really is.

Once again, Lisa did not disappoint! This is truly a stand alone. I did not read the first book in the series and was not lost at all! I loved how there was an immediate spark between Cole and Lori. Even as much as both tried to deny it, it never seemed to disappear! The passion these two have is hot!! I like how Lisa always seems to add characters from her other series into new series. Feels more personal and like a big happy family! For a quick, sexy read I recommend this book!

I can't tell you how much I adore finding heroes who are all in from the start! I'm a big fan of man chases woman scenarios. They aren't as easy to find as you would think in contemporary romance. Cole doesn't profess his love at first site but you know from their first meeting that he is ensnared by Lori. She's a game changer for him. I also love that despite this, the author doesn't make them automatically a couple. There is struggle to the new feelings they are both experiencing as well as adjusting to how their lives will change. I adored Cole and as much as I liked Lori's strong character, she did get in her own way a lot with him. This is where the Cinderella in the title comes in. Cole is a very successful lawyer who also comes from family money. Lori was unable to finish law school due to her father passing and her mother having a stroke. They have bills upon bills that have kept Lori from returning to law school. This is where Lori's strong character gets in her way. All she sees is that Cole and her come from different worlds. She wants him but she also needs to learn that his need for her will show in the way he wants to take care of her. It's a battle she will have to fight within herself and with him. As much as I love this couple, I also love watching them work together on Cole's cases. It made for a fast paced story filled with exciting drama that wasn't all about relationship drama. You also get to see some fo the Walker security men in this book. I'm a fan and I want more! ARC provided by Author.

Interesting plot

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. When I first heard about this book, I knew I was going to love it. Something about Lisa Renee Jones' writing speaks to me. Unfortunately, this didn't really live up to the hype in my head. I have always loved Lisa Renee Jones as an author but this book just fell flat for me. The characters seemed a little too perfectly imperfect. I know that sounds contradictory but it was like every flaw was created with the other character in mind. There seemed to be no growth in either character which is a shame. The one shining star in this book is the plot, I loved the twists and turns and I enjoyed reading it. It was interesting and it kept me wanting to read the rest of the book. Unfortunately, this book just wasn't for me. I'm rating it 3 stars because the plot was interesting and kept me entertained.

This love story is a stand-alone book. This is a must read story about Cole and Lori. I love how this story has engulfed me in it. Lori is just trying to get her life back after her mom was sick. Cole is a lawyer, that is not really looking for anything. But when Lori runs in to him, they both think one night is all they will need. But then life throws them back together.

Dirty Rich Cinderella Story by Lisa Renee Jones this is book Two in the Dirty Rich series. This is the story of Cole Brooks and Lori Havens. I have read the previous book (and loved it) but feel this can be a standalone book. Lori father died, her mother had a stroke so she had to drop out of Law School to help with her mother and find jobs that helps pay the bills for them. Lori happens to meet Cole who have a instant attraction to and they act on it but Lori ups an leaves the next morning knowing that he is out of her money status. But when later when things are going better with her mother's health she takes a intern job that leads her right to Cole again. Really enjoyed their story...a hard book to put down for sure!

I received this book as an ARC reader, but I give my honest opinion. As book 2 the story only gets better. It’s Lori and Cole’s story with a connection to book 1 One Night Stand. Cole being an attorney and Lori not far from that world, they meet, they walk away, they meet for one night..... no cliffhangers here. A Must Read!!!

Love Cinderella & her Prince Charming! I loved this book! Cole was everything, & I wish I could find a Cole! Lori frustrated me, but the beauty of Lisa’s writing is that I understood her & empathized with her. Once they decided to really be in a relationship is when the book really soared for me. I also loved that we got some glimpses of Reese & Cat from Dirty Rich One Night Stand, but you do not need to read that book to enjoy this one (but you should as it’s a great book!). This book will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions, & you will not regret reading it! I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Standalone! Even though it is book #2 you don’t have to read #1 to read this! I loved book #1 too though so if you like #2 as much as me you will love #1 also! As I said I loved it! One of the very few where I’ve ignored the editing & given it 5 stars. It grabbed me from the start: funny, steamy, with a plot that wasn’t overdone. I couldn’t put it down for more than a few minutes before hurrying back. Worth reading! I’m definitely going to check out more books by this author.

Amazing!

Absolutely love this book! This was my first book by this author and it definitely won’t be my last. I love any story that has a hint of a fairy tail to it and this book definitely did not disappoint. I haven’t read book one yet but i didn’t feel like I was lost in this book. Definitely can read the series out of order. I just picked up the first one in this series today. Can’t wait.

Wanting nothing but a one night stand which is something she never does she sneaks out in the morning. things start looking up for Lori when She wins an award internship to finally go after what she always wanted. Until she realized fate has brought them together again but as Cole as her boss. Will they be able to fight the attraction? Will they be able to work through what the past has damaged? Lisa Renee Jones does not disappoint! This stand alone in the Dirty Rich books. Lori, an assistant to Cat from the Dirty Rich One Night Stand book, is working four jobs to make ends meet. Her world all came crashing down at one time, her father died and her mother had a stroke. Lori dropped out of Stanford Law School even though she was the top of her class to take care of her mom and working to try to dig them out of the financial hole her father left them. In the process of running from one job to another she run into a man on the street spilling her bag on the street. She is instantly attracted to him but is in a rush to get to her job. Later, Cat ask her to meet in a bar at their building. She thinks Cat is going to fire her but instead Cat informs her that she and Reese have nominated her for a scholarship that will allow her to finish law school as well as pay her a monthly stipend. However, Cat needs to run and leaves Lori alone telling her to order what ever she wants and put it on her tab. It isn't long before she is encountered by the man she ran into, Cole. She ends up going home with him for the night, allowing him to spank her, but she refuses to give him her last name but this is a one time thing, she can't risk more. The following morning, she leaves while Cole is in the shower. Cole knew he shouldn't have left her alone and now he has to go back to Houston to finish up so that they can complete this merger. He can't get Lori off his mind. No woman does this to him. He has women when he wants them but that is it, nothing more. When he arrives in Houston, he ask his assistant to track down a lawyer in New York named Lori, spelled L-O-R-I. He can't give her any other details. Unfortunately, the lawyers Ashley tracks down by the name Lori, checking alternate spellings as well, is not her. He can't get her off his mind, even turning down the ADA that he has occasionally slept with over the years. The merger in place he returns to New York, where he has joined forces with Reese. It is also Lori's first day as part of her scholarship program. Both of them are taken aback when they encounter each other at the introduction of the new partner, Cole Brooks. This begins the push and pull between them as Lori is assigned to Cole's team. He will be her mentor. However, he wants, no needs, much more with Lori. Lori doesn't want to be accused of sleeping her way to the top. She doesn't want to be at the mercy of Cole's position or money, she won't let him have that hold that over her. Lori doesn't want a man to take care of her, she can take care of herself. She will not be in the position that her father left her mother in, debt, struggling, living in a tiny apartment. She will dig them out on her own. The push and pull goes on. Lori and Cole make an excellent legal team. She assist him with a case of a diva actress in L.A. Things seem to be going well, Lori is spending most nights with Cole, but returning home before her mother gets home from work. One of her rules was that Cole not come to her apartment but he breaks that rule, even coming inside when invited by her mother, and she can't deal with him taking over her life. She tells him she needs space. After going to pay on her mother's hospital bill and finding out it has been paid off Lori goes to Cole's. She is absolutely LIVID by this point but it doesn't end at all as she expects.

Great read! Just enough drama to get you going and definitely enough sexy scenes to get you hot and bothered! Loved the plot and loved how independent our heroine is. I did feel like things were said or emphasized but nothing really came of it. Also hoped for a bit more court/cases scenes. Nevertheless, extremely enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This is book two of the Dirty Rich Series but it can be read alone. This is Lori’s and Cole’s Story. Lori had to drop out of law school after her father’s death and the sroke of her mother. She works three jobs to help pay the bills. Lori meets Cole and there is instant attraction. They act on that attraction for one night only, with no names being exchanged and no promises being given. One of her bosses, Cat and Reese Summer (from the first book), sponsor her for a grant so she can go back to school, finish her degree, and intern at a law office. This leads her right into the arms of her mysterious lover of one night, Cole Brooks. Not wanting to spoil a beautifully written story, let me just say that this story did not disappoint. There are twists and turns, misunderstandings, and enough romance that will keep you wanting more.

This book was perfect! You know you’ve got the perfect book if you can feel the tension, love, hate, anger and fear between the characters. I felt all of it and more! Lisa is an a wonderful author. I absolutely love her work!! Lori and Cole’s story can be read alone. However, if you’ve read her other work, you’ll love having the guest appearances. This is definitely a must read book! You will not be disappointed!

I absolutely loved this book to the point that I couldn’t put it down. Lori is a strong woman that wants to provide for her and her mother. Get them out of the mess her father left them in. She wants to earn her spot and not have it handed to her. Cole is rich and sexy. He runs into Lori and he can’t stop thinking about her. He struggles to find her until one day at the new office. He has her on his team to mentor her and get through the scholarship program. Cole has her on some of his cases and they blow it out of the park together. They work good and hard together. They feed off one another and make a good team. Their relationship has some struggles and issues but nothing they can’t work out together. She needs to learn to trust him more. He needs to listen and make her feel cared and loved for. They love one another and it showed from the beginning and I liked out they had to work at it and that it didn’t come easy. The struggle of her life compared to his wealth of his life. At the end they let go of every fear and their relationship blossoms. I loved this book. I love Cole and Lori. I can’t wait to read more. Cole and Lori are great!!

Lori is truly “Miss Independence”. She will do it in her own time and on her own. Relying on someone other than herself is a good trait but there’s more to it than that. Hers is based on the lack of trust. She WILL finish her law degree and take care of her mom and all of the debt from her father and it’s her job to do it. Cole is honest and hard working and he fights for what he believes in. And when he meets, or rather, runs into, Lori on the street, he finds himself thinking of her. A lot. And when fate brings them together again (and it is Fate!), he begins to change. He wants her more. He thinks of her all the time. He needs her. He sees more for them than today. He keeps pushing because he’s head over heels. But for every step forward he takes, she’s taking two backwards. He’s going to mess it up. But she may have already done that. Trust and acceptance. And love. I loved Cole and Lori’s story. I loved the cases they worked on and Cat’s book and the ever-true support of Reese and Cat. Lori’s biggest mistake was in thinking of herself as Cinderella instead of the strong, fierce and resilient woman she really is.

Once again, Lisa did not disappoint! This is truly a stand alone. I did not read the first book in the series and was not lost at all! I loved how there was an immediate spark between Cole and Lori. Even as much as both tried to deny it, it never seemed to disappear! The passion these two have is hot!! I like how Lisa always seems to add characters from her other series into new series. Feels more personal and like a big happy family! For a quick, sexy read I recommend this book!

I can't tell you how much I adore finding heroes who are all in from the start! I'm a big fan of man chases woman scenarios. They aren't as easy to find as you would think in contemporary romance. Cole doesn't profess his love at first site but you know from their first meeting that he is ensnared by Lori. She's a game changer for him. I also love that despite this, the author doesn't make them automatically a couple. There is struggle to the new feelings they are both experiencing as well as adjusting to how their lives will change. I adored Cole and as much as I liked Lori's strong character, she did get in her own way a lot with him. This is where the Cinderella in the title comes in. Cole is a very successful lawyer who also comes from family money. Lori was unable to finish law school due to her father passing and her mother having a stroke. They have bills upon bills that have kept Lori from returning to law school. This is where Lori's strong character gets in her way. All she sees is that Cole and her come from different worlds. She wants him but she also needs to learn that his need for her will show in the way he wants to take care of her. It's a battle she will have to fight within herself and with him. As much as I love this couple, I also love watching them work together on Cole's cases. It made for a fast paced story filled with exciting drama that wasn't all about relationship drama. You also get to see some fo the Walker security men in this book. I'm a fan and I want more! ARC provided by Author.

Interesting plot

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. When I first heard about this book, I knew I was going to love it. Something about Lisa Renee Jones' writing speaks to me. Unfortunately, this didn't really live up to the hype in my head. I have always loved Lisa Renee Jones as an author but this book just fell flat for me. The characters seemed a little too perfectly imperfect. I know that sounds contradictory but it was like every flaw was created with the other character in mind. There seemed to be no growth in either character which is a shame. The one shining star in this book is the plot, I loved the twists and turns and I enjoyed reading it. It was interesting and it kept me wanting to read the rest of the book. Unfortunately, this book just wasn't for me. I'm rating it 3 stars because the plot was interesting and kept me entertained.

Dirty Rich Cinderella Story by Lisa Renee Jones this is book Two in the Dirty Rich series. This is the story of Cole Brooks and Lori Havens. I have read the previous book (and loved it) but feel this can be a standalone book. Lori father died, her mother had a stroke so she had to drop out of Law School to help with her mother and find jobs that helps pay the bills for them. Lori happens to meet Cole who have a instant attraction to and they act on it but Lori ups an leaves the next morning knowing that he is out of her money status. But when later when things are going better with her mother's health she takes a intern job that leads her right to Cole again. Really enjoyed their story...a hard book to put down for sure!

I received this book as an ARC reader, but I give my honest opinion. As book 2 the story only gets better. It’s Lori and Cole’s story with a connection to book 1 One Night Stand. Cole being an attorney and Lori not far from that world, they meet, they walk away, they meet for one night..... no cliffhangers here. A Must Read!!!

Love Cinderella & her Prince Charming! I loved this book! Cole was everything, & I wish I could find a Cole! Lori frustrated me, but the beauty of Lisa’s writing is that I understood her & empathized with her. Once they decided to really be in a relationship is when the book really soared for me. I also loved that we got some glimpses of Reese & Cat from Dirty Rich One Night Stand, but you do not need to read that book to enjoy this one (but you should as it’s a great book!). How can so much angst be this boring?

The first sex scene is dull and overwrought with the character internal monologues about the power struggle they are engaged in. The she starts working for him, he’s sexually harassing her, and she doesn’t have the self-respect to refuse to have a relationship with her boss, transfer to a different supervisor, or transfer to a different firm. There is no plot support for why this is a Cinderella story, it’s more like a tedious bad analogy to give an interesting title. Definitely won’t be buying any of the other books in this series.

I love this book from the beginning to the end. This book was exciting and made you feel all kinds of different emotions. I hated that it had to end. I want to keep reading and reading and reading. Awesome read great job LRJ.

Wanting nothing but a one night stand which is something she never does she sneaks out in the morning. things start looking up for Lori when She wins an award internship to finally go after what she always wanted. Until she realized fate has brought them together again but as Cole as her boss. Will they be able to fight the attraction? Will they be able to work through what the past has damaged? Lisa Renee Jones does not disappoint! This stand alone in the Dirty Rich books. Lori, an assistant to Cat from the Dirty Rich One Night Stand book, is working four jobs to make ends meet. Her world all came crashing down at one time, her father died and her mother had a stroke. Lori dropped out of Stanford Law School even though she was the top of her class to take care of her mom and working to try to dig them out of the financial hole her father left them. In the process of running from one job to another she run into a man on the street spilling her bag on the street. She is instantly attracted to him but is in a rush to get to her job. Later, Cat ask her to meet in a bar at their building. She thinks Cat is going to fire her but instead Cat informs her that she and Reese have nominated her for a scholarship that will allow her to finish law school as well as pay her a monthly stipend. However, Cat needs to run and leaves Lori alone telling her to order what ever she wants and put it on her tab. It isn't long before she is encountered by the man she ran into, Cole. She ends up going home with him for the night, allowing him to spank her, but she refuses to give him her last name but this is a one time thing, she can't risk more. The following morning, she leaves while Cole is in the shower. Cole knew he shouldn't have left her alone and now he has to go back to Houston to finish up so that they can complete this merger. He can't get Lori off his mind. No woman does this to him. He has women when he wants them but that is it, nothing more. When he arrives in Houston, he ask his assistant to track down a lawyer in New York named Lori, spelled L-O-R-I. He can't give her any other details. This begins the push and pull between them as Lori is assigned to Cole's team. He will be her mentor. However, he wants, no needs, much more with Lori. Lori doesn't want to be accused of sleeping her way to the top. She doesn't want to be at the mercy of Cole's position or money, she won't let him have that hold that over her. Lori doesn't want a man to take care of her, she can take care of herself. She will not be in the position that her father left her mother in, debt, struggling, living in a tiny apartment. She will dig them out on her own. The push and pull goes on. Lori and Cole make an excellent legal team. She assist him with a case of a diva actress in L.A. Things seem to be going well, Lori is spending most nights with Cole, but returning home before her mother gets home from work. One of her rules was that Cole not come to her apartment but he breaks that rule, even coming inside when invited by her mother, and she can't deal with him taking over her life. She tells him she needs space. After going to pay on her mother's hospital bill and finding out it has been paid off Lori goes to Cole's. She is absolutely LIVID by this point but it doesn't end at all as she expects.

Great read! Just enough drama to get you going and definitely enough sexy scenes to get you hot and bothered! Loved the plot and loved how independent our heroine is. I did feel like things were said or emphasized but nothing really came of it. Also hoped for a bit more court/cases scenes. Nevertheless, extremely enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This is book two of the Dirty Rich Series but it can be read alone. This is Lori’s and Cole’s Story. Lori had to drop out of law school after her father’s death and the sroke of her mother. She works three jobs to help pay the bills. Lori meets Cole and there is instant attraction. They act on that attraction for one night only, with no names being exchanged and no promises being given. One of her bosses, Cat and Reese Summer (from the first book), sponsor her for a grant so she can go back to school, finish her degree, and intern at a law office. This leads her right into the arms of her mysterious lover of one night, Cole Brooks. Not wanting to spoil a beautifully written story, let me just say that this story did not disappoint. There are twists and turns, misunderstandings, and enough romance that will keep you wanting more.

This book was perfect! You know you’ve got the perfect book if you can feel the tension, love, hate, anger and fear between the characters. I felt all of it and more! Lisa is an a wonderful author. I absolutely love her work!! Lori and Cole’s story can be read alone. However, if you’ve read her other work, you’ll love having the guest appearances. This is definitely a must read book! You will not be disappointed!

Amazing, hot and a must read

I absolutely loved this book to the point that I couldn’t put it down. Lori is a strong woman that wants to provide for her and her mother. Get them out of the mess her father left them in. She wants to earn her spot and not have it handed to her. Cole is rich and sexy. He runs into Lori and he can’t stop thinking about her. He struggles to find her until one day at the new office. He has her on his team to mentor her and get through the scholarship program. Cole has her on some of his cases and they blow it out of the park together. They work good and hard together. They feed off one another and make a good team. Their relationship has some struggles and issues but nothing they can’t work out together. She needs to learn to trust him more. He needs to listen and make her feel cared and loved for. They love one another and it showed from the beginning and I liked out they had to work at it and that it didn’t come easy. The struggle of her life compared to his wealth of his life. At the end they let go of every fear and their relationship blossoms. I loved this book. I love Cole and Lori. I can’t wait to read more. I always enjoy an LRJ story and this was no exception. Felt more emotions with this one and very much enjoyed their banter and dialogue. Sexy, witty, emotional and the mention of other people from other stories always has me perking up. A stand-alone story, but I think it’s worth reading all of her books.

Cole and Lori are great!!

Lori is truly “Miss Independence”. She will do it in her own time and on her own. Relying on someone other than herself is a good trait but there’s more to it than that. Hers is based on the lack of trust. She WILL finish her law degree and take care of her mom and all of the debt from her father and it’s her job to do it. Cole is honest and hard working and he fights for what he believes in. And when he meets, or rather, runs into, Lori on the street, he finds himself thinking of her. A lot. And when fate brings them together again (and it is Fate!), he begins to change. He wants her more. He thinks of her all the time. He needs her. He sees more for them than today. He keeps pushing because he’s head over heels. But for every step forward he takes, she’s taking two backwards. He’s going to mess it up. But she may have already done that. Trust and acceptance. And love. I loved Cole and Lori’s story. I loved the cases they worked on and Cat’s book and the ever-true support of Reese and Cat. Lori’s biggest mistake was in thinking of herself as Cinderella instead of the strong, fierce and resilient woman she really is.

Once again, Lisa did not disappoint! This is truly a stand alone. I did not read the first book in the series and was not lost at all! I loved how there was an immediate spark between Cole and Lori. Even as much as both tried to deny it, it never seemed to disappear! The passion these two have is hot!! I like how Lisa always seems to add characters from her other series into new series. Feels more personal and like a big happy family! For a quick, sexy read I recommend this book!

I can't tell you how much I adore finding heroes who are all in from the start! I'm a big fan of man chases woman scenarios. They aren't as easy to find as you would think in contemporary romance. Cole doesn't profess his love at first site but you know from their first meeting that he is ensnared by Lori. She's a game changer for him. I also love that despite this, the author doesn't make them automatically a couple. There is struggle to the new feelings they are both experiencing as well as adjusting to how their lives will change. I adored Cole and as much as I liked Lori's strong character, she did get in her own way a lot with him. This is where the Cinderella in the title comes in. Cole is a very successful lawyer who also comes from family money. Lori was unable to finish law school due to her father passing and her mother having a stroke. They have bills upon bills that have kept Lori from returning to law school. This is where Lori's strong character gets in her way. All she sees is that Cole and her come from different worlds. She wants him but she also needs to learn that his need for her will show in the way he wants to take care of her. It's a battle she will have to fight within herself and with him. As much as I love this couple, I also love watching them work together on Cole's cases. It made for a fast paced story filled with exciting drama that wasn't all about relationship drama. You also get to see some fo the Walker security men in this book. I'm a fan and I want more! ARC provided by Author.

Interesting plot

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. When I first heard about this book, I knew I was going to love it. Something about Lisa Renee Jones' writing speaks to me. Unfortunately, this didn't really live up to the hype in my head. I have always loved Lisa Renee Jones as an author but this book just fell flat for me. The characters seemed a little too perfectly imperfect. I know that sounds contradictory but it was like every flaw was created with the other character in mind. There seemed to be no growth in either character which is a shame. The one shining star in this book is the plot, I loved the twists and turns and I enjoyed reading it. It was interesting and it kept me wanting to read the rest of the book. Unfortunately, this book just wasn't for me. I'm rating it 3 stars because the plot was interesting and kept me entertained.

Dirty Rich Cinderella Story by Lisa Renee Jones this is book Two in the Dirty Rich series. This is the story of Cole Brooks and Lori Havens. I have read the previous book (and loved it) but feel this can be a standalone book. Lori father died, her mother had a stroke so she had to drop out of Law School to help with her mother and find jobs that helps pay the bills for them. Lori happens to meet Cole who have a instant attraction to and they act on it but Lori ups an leaves the next morning knowing that he is out of her money status. But when later when things are going better with her mother's health she takes a intern job that leads her right to Cole again. Really enjoyed their story...a hard book to put down for sure!

I received this book as an ARC reader, but I give my honest opinion. As book 2 the story only gets better. It’s Lori and Cole’s story with a connection to book 1 One Night Stand. Cole being an attorney and Lori not far from that world, they meet, they walk away, they meet for one night..... no cliffhangers here. A Must Read!!!

Love Cinderella & her Prince Charming! I loved this book! Cole was everything, & I wish I could find a Cole! Lori frustrated me, but the beauty of Lisa’s writing is that I understood her & empathized with her. Once they decided to really be in a relationship is when the book really soared for me. I also loved that we got some glimpses of Reese & Cat from Dirty Rich One Night Stand, but you do not need to read that book to enjoy this one (but you should as it’s a great book!). This book will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions, & you will not regret reading it! I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Standalone! Even though it is book #2 you don’t have to read #1 to read this! I loved book #1 too though so if you like #2 as much as me you will love #1 also! As I said I loved it! How can so much angst be this boring?

The first sex scene is dull and overwrought with the character internal monologues about the power struggle they are engaged in. The she starts working for him, he’s sexually harassing her, and she doesn’t have the self-respect to refuse to have a relationship with her boss, transfer to a different supervisor, or transfer to a different firm. There is no plot support for why this is a Cinderella story, it’s more like a tedious bad analogy to give an interesting title. Definitely won’t be buying any of the other books in this series.

One of the very few where I’ve ignored the editing & given it 5 stars. It grabbed me from the start: funny, steamy, with a plot that wasn’t overdone. I couldn’t put it down for more than a few minutes before hurrying back. Worth reading! I’m definitely going to check out more books by this author.

Absolutely love this book! This was my first book by this author and it definitely won’t be my last. I love any story that has a hint of a fairy tail to it and this book definitely did not disappoint. I haven’t read book one yet but i didn’t feel like I was lost in this book. Definitely can read the series out of order. I just picked up the first one in this series today. Can’t wait.

Lisa Renee Jones does not disappoint! This stand alone in the Dirty Rich books. Lori, an assistant to Cat from the Dirty Rich One Night Stand book, is working four jobs to make ends meet. Her world all came crashing down at one time, her father died and her mother had a stroke. Lori dropped out of Stanford Law School even though she was the top of her class to take care of her mom and working to try to dig them out of the financial hole her father left them. In the process of running from one job to another she run into a man on the street spilling her bag on the street. She is instantly attracted to him but is in a rush to get to her job. Later, Cat ask her to meet in a bar at their building. She thinks Cat is going to fire her but instead Cat informs her that she and Reese have nominated her for a scholarship that will allow her to finish law school as well as pay her a monthly stipend. However, Cat needs to run and leaves Lori alone telling her to order what ever she wants and put it on her tab. It isn't long before she is encountered by the man she ran into, Cole. She ends up going home with him for the night, allowing him to spank her, but she refuses to give him her last name but this is a one time thing, she can't risk more. The following morning, she leaves while Cole is in the shower. Cole knew he shouldn't have left her alone and now he has to go back to Houston to finish up so that they can complete this merger. He can't get Lori off his mind. No woman does this to him. He has women when he wants them but that is it, nothing more. When he arrives in Houston, he ask his assistant to track down a lawyer in New York named Lori, spelled L-O-R-I. He can't give her any other details. Unfortunately, the lawyers Ashley tracks down by the name Lori, checking alternate spellings as well, is not her. He can't get her off his mind, even turning down the ADA that he has occasionally slept with over the years. The merger in place he returns to New York, where he has joined forces with Reese. It is also Lori's first day as part of her scholarship program. Both of them are taken aback when they encounter each other at the introduction of the new partner, Cole Brooks. This begins the push and pull between them as Lori is assigned to Cole's team. He will be her mentor. However, he wants, no needs, much more with Lori. Lori doesn't want to be accused of sleeping her way to the top. She doesn't want to be at the mercy of Cole's position or money, she won't let him have that hold that over her. Lori doesn't want a man to take care of her, she can take care of herself. She will not be in the position that her father left her mother in, debt, struggling, living in a tiny apartment. She will dig them out on her own. The push and pull goes on. Lori and Cole make an excellent legal team. She assist him with a case of a diva actress in L.A. Things seem to be going well, Lori is spending most nights with Cole, but returning home before her mother gets home from work. One of her rules was that Cole not come to her apartment but he breaks that rule, even coming inside when invited by her mother, and she can't deal with him taking over her life. She tells him she needs space. After going to pay on her mother's hospital bill and finding out it has been paid off Lori goes to Cole's. She is absolutely LIVID by this point but it doesn't end at all as she expects.

Great read! Just enough drama to get you going and definitely enough sexy scenes to get you hot and bothered! Loved the plot and loved how independent our heroine is. I did feel like things were said or emphasized but nothing really came of it. Also hoped for a bit more court/cases scenes. Nevertheless, extremely enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This is book two of the Dirty Rich Series but it can be read alone. This is Lori’s and Cole’s Story. Lori had to drop out of law school after her father’s death and the sroke of her mother. She works three jobs to help pay the bills. Lori meets Cole and there is instant attraction. They act on that attraction for one night only, with no names being exchanged and no promises being given. One of her bosses, Cat and Reese Summer (from the first book), sponsor her for a grant so she can go back to school, finish her degree, and intern at a law office. This leads her right into the arms of her mysterious lover of one night, Cole Brooks. Not wanting to spoil a beautifully written story, let me just say that this story did not disappoint. There are twists and turns, misunderstandings, and enough romance that will keep you wanting more.

This book was perfect! You know you’ve got the perfect book if you can feel the tension, love, hate, anger and fear between the characters. I felt all of it and more! Lisa is an a wonderful author. I absolutely love her work!! Lori and Cole’s story can be read alone. However, if you’ve read her other work, you’ll love having the guest appearances. This is definitely a must read book! You will not be disappointed!

I absolutely loved this book to the point that I couldn’t put it down. Lori is a strong woman that wants to provide for her and her mother. Get them out of the mess her father left them in. She wants to earn her spot and not have it handed to her. Cole is rich and sexy. He runs into Lori and he can’t stop thinking about her. He struggles to find her until one day at the new office. He has her on his team to mentor her and get through the scholarship program. Cole has her on some of his cases and they blow it out of the park together. They work good and hard together. They feed off one another and make a good team. Their relationship has some struggles and issues but nothing they can’t work out together. She needs to learn to trust him more. He needs to listen and make her feel cared and loved for. They love one another and it showed from the beginning and I liked out they had to work at it and that it didn’t come easy. The struggle of her life compared to his wealth of his life. At the end they let go of every fear and their relationship blossoms. I loved this book. I love Cole and Lori. I can’t wait to read more. I always enjoy an LRJ story and this was no exception. Felt more emotions with this one and very much enjoyed their banter and dialogue. Sexy, witty, emotional and the mention of other people from other stories always has me perking up. A stand-alone story, but I think it’s worth reading all of her books.

Cole and Lori are great!!

Lori is truly “Miss Independence”. She will do it in her own time and on her own. Relying on someone other than herself is a good trait but there’s more to it than that. Hers is based on the lack of trust. She WILL finish her law degree and take care of her mom and all of the debt from her father and it’s her job to do it. Cole is honest and hard working and he fights for what he believes in. And when he meets, or rather, runs into, Lori on the street, he finds himself thinking of her. A lot. And when fate brings them together again (and it is Fate!), he begins to change. He wants her more. He thinks of her all the time. He needs her. He sees more for them than today. He keeps pushing because he’s head over heels. But for every step forward he takes, she’s taking two backwards. He’s going to mess it up. But she may have already done that. Trust and acceptance. And love. I loved Cole and Lori’s story. I loved the cases they worked on and Cat’s book and the ever-true support of Reese and Cat. Lori’s biggest mistake was in thinking of herself as Cinderella instead of the strong, fierce and resilient woman she really is.

Once again, Lisa did not disappoint! This is truly a stand alone. I did not read the first book in the series and was not lost at all! I loved how there was an immediate spark between Cole and Lori. Even as much as both tried to deny it, it never seemed to disappear! The passion these two have is hot!! I like how Lisa always seems to add characters from her other series into new series. Feels more personal and like a big happy family! For a quick, sexy read I recommend this book!

I can't tell you how much I adore finding heroes who are all in from the start! I'm a big fan of man chases woman scenarios. They aren't as easy to find as you would think in contemporary romance. Cole doesn't profess his love at first site but you know from their first meeting that he is ensnared by Lori. She's a game changer for him. I also love that despite this, the author doesn't make them automatically a couple. There is struggle to the new feelings they are both experiencing as well as adjusting to how their lives will change. I adored Cole and as much as I liked Lori's strong character, she did get in her own way a lot with him. This is where the Cinderella in the title comes in. Cole is a very successful lawyer who also comes from family money. Lori was unable to finish law school due to her father passing and her mother having a stroke. They have bills upon bills that have kept Lori from returning to law school. This is where Lori's strong character gets in her way. All she sees is that Cole and her come from different worlds. She wants him but she also needs to learn that his need for her will show in the way he wants to take care of her. It's a battle she will have to fight within herself and with him. As much as I love this couple, I also love watching them work together on Cole's cases. It made for a fast paced story filled with exciting drama that wasn't all about relationship drama. You also get to see some fo the Walker security men in this book. I'm a fan and I want more! ARC provided by Author.

Interesting plot

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. When I first heard about this book, I knew I was going to love it. Something about Lisa Renee Jones' writing speaks to me. Unfortunately, this didn't really live up to the hype in my head. I have always loved Lisa Renee Jones as an author but this book just fell flat for me. The characters seemed a little too perfectly imperfect. I know that sounds contradictory but it was like every flaw was created with the other character in mind. There seemed to be no growth in either character which is a shame. The one shining star in this book is the plot, I loved the twists and turns and I enjoyed reading it. It was interesting and it kept me wanting to read the rest of the book. Unfortunately, this book just wasn't for me. I'm rating it 3 stars because the plot was interesting and kept me entertained.

Dirty Rich Cinderella Story by Lisa Renee Jones this is book Two in the Dirty Rich series. This is the story of Cole Brooks and Lori Havens. I have read the previous book (and loved it) but feel this can be a standalone book. Lori father died, her mother had a stroke so she had to drop out of Law School to help with her mother and find jobs that helps pay the bills for them. Lori happens to meet Cole who have a instant attraction to and they act on it but Lori ups an leaves the next morning knowing that he is out of her money status. But when later when things are going better with her mother's health she takes a intern job that leads her right to Cole again. Really enjoyed their story...a hard book to put down for sure!

Cole being an attorney and Lori not far from that world, they meet, they walk away, they meet for one night..... no cliffhangers here. A Must Read!!!

Lori frustrated me, but the beauty of Lisa’s writing is that I understood her & empathized with her. Once they decided to really be in a relationship is when the book really soared for me. I also loved that we got some glimpses of Reese & Cat from Dirty Rich One Night Stand, but you do not need to read that book to enjoy this one (but you should as it’s a great book!). How can so much angst be this boring?

The first sex scene is dull and overwrought with the character internal monologues about the power struggle they are engaged in. The she starts working for him, he’s sexually harassing her, and she doesn’t have the self-respect to refuse to have a relationship with her boss, transfer to a different supervisor, or transfer to a different firm. There is no plot support for why this is a Cinderella story, it’s more like a tedious bad analogy to give an interesting title. Definitely won’t be buying any of the other books in this series.

One of the very few where I’ve ignored the editing & given it 5 stars. It grabbed me from the start: funny, steamy, with a plot that wasn’t overdone. I couldn’t put it down for more than a few minutes before hurrying back. Worth reading! I’m definitely going to check out more books by this author.

When she runs into Cole and goes home with him she leaves no traces of who she is. Wanting nothing but a one night stand which is something she never does she sneaks out in the morning. things start looking up for Lori when She wins an award internship to finally go after what she always wanted. Until she realized fate has brought them together again but as Cole as her boss. Will they be able to fight the attraction? Will they be able to work through what the past has damaged? Will Lori be able to trust again? This book was so good. Love how Cole never gives up and proves no matter what he cares and will always be there. Arc given to me by author.

Lisa Renee Jones once again weaves a romantic tale, captivating us with her well written and well developed characters. What endears me the most is how she can show us how all of her characters are aligned. And as a reader, if this is the first book that you pick up, she pulls you in and makes the reader want to know exactly who these other characters are.

Lisa Renee Jones does not disappoint! This stand alone in the Dirty Rich books. Lori, an assistant to Cat from the Dirty Rich One Night Stand book, is working four jobs to make ends meet. Her world all came crashing down at one time, her father died and her mother had a stroke. Lori dropped out of Stanford Law School even though she was the top of her class to take care of her mom and working to try to dig them out of the financial hole her father left them. In the process of running from one job to another she run into a man on the street spilling her bag on the street. She is instantly attracted to him but is in a rush to get to her job. Later, Cat ask her to meet in a bar at their building. She thinks Cat is going to fire her but instead Cat informs her that she and Reese have nominated her for a scholarship that will allow her to finish law school as well as pay her a monthly stipend. However, Cat needs to run and leaves Lori alone telling her to order what ever she wants and put it on her tab. It isn't long before she is encountered by the man she ran into, Cole. She ends up going home with him for the night, allowing him to spank her, but she refuses to give him her last name but this is a one time thing, she can't risk more. The following morning, she leaves while Cole is in the shower. Cole knew he shouldn't have left her alone and now he has to go back to Houston to finish up so that they can complete this merger. He can't get Lori off his mind. No woman does this to him. He has women when he wants them but that is it, nothing more. When he arrives in Houston, he ask his assistant to track down a lawyer in New York named Lori, spelled L-O-R-I. He can't give her any other details. Unfortunately, the lawyers Ashley tracks down by the name Lori, checking alternate spellings as well, is not her. He can't get her off his mind, even turning down the ADA that he has occasionally slept with over the years. The merger in place he returns to New York, where he has joined forces with Reese. It is also Lori's first day as part of her scholarship program. Both of them are taken aback when they encounter each other at the introduction of the new partner, Cole Brooks. This begins the push and pull between them as Lori is assigned to Cole's team. He will be her mentor. However, he wants, no needs, much more with Lori. Lori doesn't want to be accused of sleeping her way to the top. She doesn't want to be at the mercy of Cole's position or money, she won't let him have that hold that over her. Lori doesn't want a man to take care of her, she can take care of herself. She will not be in the position that her father left her mother in, debt, struggling, living in a tiny apartment. She will dig them out on her own. The push and pull goes on. Lori and Cole make an excellent legal team. She assist him with a case of a diva actress in L.A. Things seem to be going well, Lori is spending most nights with Cole, but returning home before her mother gets home from work. One of her rules was that Cole not come to her apartment but he breaks that rule, even coming inside when invited by her mother, and she can't deal with him taking over her life. She tells him she needs space. After going to pay on her mother's hospital bill and finding out it has been paid off Lori goes to Cole's. She is absolutely LIVID by this point but it doesn't end at all as she expects.

Great read! Just enough drama to get you going and definitely enough sexy scenes to get you hot and bothered! Loved the plot and loved how independent our heroine is. I did feel like things were said or emphasized but nothing really came of it. Also hoped for a bit more court/cases scenes. Nevertheless, extremely enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This is book two of the Dirty Rich Series but it can be read alone. This is Lori’s and Cole’s Story. Lori had to drop out of law school after her father’s death and the sroke of her mother. She works three jobs to help pay the bills. Lori meets Cole and there is instant attraction. They act on that attraction for one night only, with no names being exchanged and no promises being given. One of her bosses, Cat and Reese Summer (from the first book), sponsor her for a grant so she can go back to school, finish her degree, and intern at a law office. This leads her right into the arms of her mysterious lover of one night, Cole Brooks. Not wanting to spoil a beautifully written story, let me just say that this story did not disappoint. There are twists and turns, misunderstandings, and enough romance that will keep you wanting more.

This book was perfect! You know you’ve got the perfect book if you can feel the tension, love, hate, anger and fear between the characters. I felt all of it and more! Lisa is an a wonderful author. I absolutely love her work!! Lori and Cole’s story can be read alone. However, if you’ve read her other work, you’ll love having the guest appearances. This is definitely a must read book! You will not be disappointed!

Amazing, hot and a must read

I absolutely loved this book to the point that I couldn’t put it down. Lori is a strong woman that wants to provide for her and her mother. Get them out of the mess her father left them in. She wants to earn her spot and not have it handed to her. Cole is rich and sexy. He runs into Lori and he can’t stop thinking about her. He struggles to find her until one day at the new office. He has her on his team to mentor her and get through the scholarship program. Cole has her on some of his cases and they blow it out of the park together. They work good and hard together. They feed off one another and make a good team. Their relationship has some struggles and issues but nothing they can’t work out together. She needs to learn to trust him more. He needs to listen and make her feel cared and loved for. They love one another and it showed from the beginning and I liked out they had to work at it and that it didn’t come easy. The struggle of her life compared to his wealth of his life. At the end they let go of every fear and their relationship blossoms. I loved this book. I love Cole and Lori. I can’t wait to read more. I always enjoy an LRJ story and this was no exception. Felt more emotions with this one and very much enjoyed their banter and dialogue. Sexy, witty, emotional and the mention of other people from other stories always has me perking up. A stand-alone story, but I think it’s worth reading all of her books.

Cole and Lori are great!!

Lori is truly “Miss Independence”. She will do it in her own time and on her own. Relying on someone other than herself is a good trait but there’s more to it than that. Hers is based on the lack of trust. She WILL finish her law degree and take care of her mom and all of the debt from her father and it’s her job to do it. Cole is honest and hard working and he fights for what he believes in. And when he meets, or rather, runs into, Lori on the street, he finds himself thinking of her. A lot. And when fate brings them together again (and it is Fate!), he begins to change. He wants her more. He thinks of her all the time. He needs her. He sees more for them than today. He keeps pushing because he’s head over heels. But for every step forward he takes, she’s taking two backwards. He’s going to mess it up. But she may have already done that. Trust and acceptance. And love. I loved Cole and Lori’s story. I loved the cases they worked on and Cat’s book and the ever-true support of Reese and Cat. Lori’s biggest mistake was in thinking of herself as Cinderella instead of the strong, fierce and resilient woman she really is.

Once again, Lisa did not disappoint! This is truly a stand alone. I did not read the first book in the series and was not lost at all! I loved how there was an immediate spark between Cole and Lori. Even as much as both tried to deny it, it never seemed to disappear! The passion these two have is hot!! I like how Lisa always seems to add characters from her other series into new series. Feels more personal and like a big happy family! For a quick, sexy read I recommend this book!

I can't tell you how much I adore finding heroes who are all in from the start! I'm a big fan of man chases woman scenarios. They aren't as easy to find as you would think in contemporary romance. Cole doesn't profess his love at first site but you know from their first meeting that he is ensnared by Lori. She's a game changer for him. I also love that despite this, the author doesn't make them automatically a couple. There is struggle to the new feelings they are both experiencing as well as adjusting to how their lives will change. I adored Cole and as much as I liked Lori's strong character, she did get in her own way a lot with him. This is where the Cinderella in the title comes in. Cole is a very successful lawyer who also comes from family money. Lori was unable to finish law school due to her father passing and her mother having a stroke. They have bills upon bills that have kept Lori from returning to law school. This is where Lori's strong character gets in her way. All she sees is that Cole and her come from different worlds. She wants him but she also needs to learn that his need for her will show in the way he wants to take care of her. It's a battle she will have to fight within herself and with him. As much as I love this couple, I also love watching them work together on Cole's cases. It made for a fast paced story filled with exciting drama that wasn't all about relationship drama. You also get to see some fo the Walker security men in this book. I'm a fan and I want more! ARC provided by Author.

Interesting plot

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. When I first heard about this book, I knew I was going to love it. Something about Lisa Renee Jones' writing speaks to me. Unfortunately, this didn't really live up to the hype in my head. I have always loved Lisa Renee Jones as an author but this book just fell flat for me. The characters seemed a little too perfectly imperfect. I know that sounds contradictory but it was like every flaw was created with the other character in mind. There seemed to be no growth in either character which is a shame. The one shining star in this book is the plot, I loved the twists and turns and I enjoyed reading it. It was interesting and it kept me wanting to read the rest of the book. Unfortunately, this book just wasn't for me. I'm rating it 3 stars because the plot was interesting and kept me entertained.

Dirty Rich Cinderella Story by Lisa Renee Jones this is book Two in the Dirty Rich series. This is the story of Cole Brooks and Lori Havens. I have read the previous book (and loved it) but feel this can be a standalone book. Lori father died, her mother had a stroke so she had to drop out of Law School to help with her mother and find jobs that helps pay the bills for them. Lori happens to meet Cole who have a instant attraction to and they act on it but Lori ups an leaves the next morning knowing that he is out of her money status. But when later when things are going better with her mother's health she takes a intern job that leads her right to Cole again. Really enjoyed their story...a hard book to put down for sure!

I received this book as an ARC reader, but I give my honest opinion. As book 2 the story only gets better. It’s Lori and Cole’s story with a connection to book 1 One Night Stand. Cole being an attorney and Lori not far from that world, they meet, they walk away, they meet for one night..... no cliffhangers here. A Must Read!!!

Love Cinderella & her Prince Charming! I loved this book! Cole was everything, & I wish I could find a Cole! Lori frustrated me, but the beauty of Lisa’s writing is that I understood her & empathized with her. Once they decided to really be in a relationship is when the book really soared for me. I also loved that we got some glimpses of Reese & Cat from Dirty Rich One Night Stand, but you do not need to read that book to enjoy this one (but you should as it’s a great book!). How can so much angst be this boring?

The first sex scene is dull and overwrought with the character internal monologues about the power struggle they are engaged in. The she starts working for him, he’s sexually harassing her, and she doesn’t have the self-respect to refuse to have a relationship with her boss, transfer to a different supervisor, or transfer to a different firm. There is no plot support for why this is a Cinderella story, it’s more like a tedious bad analogy to give an interesting title. Definitely won’t be buying any of the other books in this series.

One of the very few where I’ve ignored the editing & given it 5 stars. It grabbed me from the start: funny, steamy, with a plot that wasn’t overdone. I couldn’t put it down for more than a few minutes before hurrying back. Worth reading! I’m definitely going to check out more books by this author.

I love any story that has a hint of a fairy tail to it and this book definitely did not disappoint. I haven’t read book one yet but i didn’t feel like I was lost in this book. When she runs into Cole and goes home with him she leaves no traces of who she is. Wanting nothing but a one night stand which is something she never does she sneaks out in the morning. things start looking up for Lori when She wins an award internship to finally go after what she always wanted. Until she realized fate has brought them together again but as Cole as her boss. Will they be able to fight the attraction? Will they be able to work through what the past has damaged? Will Lori be able to trust again? This book was so good. Love how Cole never gives up and proves no matter what he cares and will always be there. Arc given to me by author.

It is also Lori's first day as part of her scholarship program. Both of them are taken aback when they encounter each other at the introduction of the new partner, Cole Brooks. This begins the push and pull between them as Lori is assigned to Cole's team. He will be her mentor. However, he wants, no needs, much more with Lori. Lori doesn't want to be accused of sleeping her way to the top. She doesn't want to be at the mercy of Cole's position or money, she won't let him have that hold that over her. Lori doesn't want a man to take care of her, she can take care of herself. She will not be in the position that her father left her mother in, debt, struggling, living in a tiny apartment. She will dig them out on her own. The push and pull goes on. Lori and Cole make an excellent legal team. She assist him with a case of a diva actress in L.A. Things seem to be going well, Lori is spending most nights with Cole, but returning home before her mother gets home from work. One of her rules was that Cole not come to her apartment but he breaks that rule, even coming inside when invited by her mother, and she can't deal with him taking over her life. She tells him she needs space. After going to pay on her mother's hospital bill and finding out it has been paid off Lori goes to Cole's. She is absolutely LIVID by this point but it doesn't end at all as she expects.

Great read! Just enough drama to get you going and definitely enough sexy scenes to get you hot and bothered! Loved the plot and loved how independent our heroine is. I did feel like things were said or emphasized but nothing really came of it. Also hoped for a bit more court/cases scenes. Nevertheless, extremely enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This is book two of the Dirty Rich Series but it can be read alone. This is Lori’s and Cole’s Story. Lori had to drop out of law school after her father’s death and the sroke of her mother. She works three jobs to help pay the bills. Lori meets Cole and there is instant attraction. They act on that attraction for one night only, with no names being exchanged and no promises being given. One of her bosses, Cat and Reese Summer (from the first book), sponsor her for a grant so she can go back to school, finish her degree, and intern at a law office. This leads her right into the arms of her mysterious lover of one night, Cole Brooks. Not wanting to spoil a beautifully written story, let me just say that this story did not disappoint. There are twists and turns, misunderstandings, and enough romance that will keep you wanting more.

This book was perfect! You know you’ve got the perfect book if you can feel the tension, love, hate, anger and fear between the characters. I felt all of it and more! Lisa is an a wonderful author. I absolutely love her work!! Lori and Cole’s story can be read alone. However, if you’ve read her other work, you’ll love having the guest appearances. This is definitely a must read book! You will not be disappointed!

Amazing, hot and a must read

I absolutely loved this book to the point that I couldn’t put it down. Lori is a strong woman that wants to provide for her and her mother. Get them out of the mess her father left them in. She wants to earn her spot and not have it handed to her. Cole is rich and sexy. He runs into Lori and he can’t stop thinking about her. He struggles to find her until one day at the new office. He has her on his team to mentor her and get through the scholarship program. Cole has her on some of his cases and they blow it out of the park together. They work good and hard together. They feed off one another and make a good team. Their relationship has some struggles and issues but nothing they can’t work out together. She needs to learn to trust him more. He needs to listen and make her feel cared and loved for. They love one another and it showed from the beginning and I liked out they had to work at it and that it didn’t come easy. The struggle of her life compared to his wealth of his life. At the end they let go of every fear and their relationship blossoms. I loved this book. I love Cole and Lori. I can’t wait to read more. I always enjoy an LRJ story and this was no exception. Felt more emotions with this one and very much enjoyed their banter and dialogue. Sexy, witty, emotional and the mention of other people from other stories always has me perking up. A stand-alone story, but I think it’s worth reading all of her books.

Cole and Lori are great!!

Lori is truly “Miss Independence”. She will do it in her own time and on her own. Relying on someone other than herself is a good trait but there’s more to it than that. Hers is based on the lack of trust. She WILL finish her law degree and take care of her mom and all of the debt from her father and it’s her job to do it. Cole is honest and hard working and he fights for what he believes in. And when he meets, or rather, runs into, Lori on the street, he finds himself thinking of her. A lot. And when fate brings them together again (and it is Fate!), he begins to change. He wants her more. He thinks of her all the time. He needs her. He sees more for them than today. He keeps pushing because he’s head over heels. But for every step forward he takes, she’s taking two backwards. He’s going to mess it up. But she may have already done that. Trust and acceptance. And love. I loved Cole and Lori’s story. I loved the cases they worked on and Cat’s book and the ever-true support of Reese and Cat. Lori’s biggest mistake was in thinking of herself as Cinderella instead of the strong, fierce and resilient woman she really is.

Once again, Lisa did not disappoint! This is truly a stand alone. I did not read the first book in the series and was not lost at all! I loved how there was an immediate spark between Cole and Lori. Even as much as both tried to deny it, it never seemed to disappear! The passion these two have is hot!! I like how Lisa always seems to add characters from her other series into new series. Feels more personal and like a big happy family! For a quick, sexy read I recommend this book!

I can't tell you how much I adore finding heroes who are all in from the start! I'm a big fan of man chases woman scenarios. They aren't as easy to find as you would think in contemporary romance. Cole doesn't profess his love at first site but you know from their first meeting that he is ensnared by Lori. She's a game changer for him. I also love that despite this, the author doesn't make them automatically a couple. There is struggle to the new feelings they are both experiencing as well as adjusting to how their lives will change. I adored Cole and as much as I liked Lori's strong character, she did get in her own way a lot with him. This is where the Cinderella in the title comes in. Cole is a very successful lawyer who also comes from family money. Lori was unable to finish law school due to her father passing and her mother having a stroke. They have bills upon bills that have kept Lori from returning to law school. This is where Lori's strong character gets in her way. All she sees is that Cole and her come from different worlds. She wants him but she also needs to learn that his need for her will show in the way he wants to take care of her. It's a battle she will have to fight within herself and with him. As much as I love this couple, I also love watching them work together on Cole's cases. It made for a fast paced story filled with exciting drama that wasn't all about relationship drama. You also get to see some fo the Walker security men in this book. I'm a fan and I want more! ARC provided by Author.

Interesting plot

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. When I first heard about this book, I knew I was going to love it. Something about Lisa Renee Jones' writing speaks to me. Unfortunately, this didn't really live up to the hype in my head. I have always loved Lisa Renee Jones as an author but this book just fell flat for me. The characters seemed a little too perfectly imperfect. I know that sounds contradictory but it was like every flaw was created with the other character in mind. There seemed to be no growth in either character which is a shame. The one shining star in this book is the plot, I loved the twists and turns and I enjoyed reading it. It was interesting and it kept me wanting to read the rest of the book. Unfortunately, this book just wasn't for me. I'm rating it 3 stars because the plot was interesting and kept me entertained.

This love story is a stand-alone book. This is a must read story about Cole and Lori. I love how this story has engulfed me in it. Lori is just trying to get her life back after her mom was sick. Cole is a lawyer, that is not really looking for anything. But when Lori runs in to him, they both think one night is all they will need. But then life throws them back together.

This is a beautifully written modern day fairytale romance full of twist and turns, suspense and of course hotness that get you from the first page. I loved this book so much. Dirty Rich Cinderella Story by Lisa Renee Jones this is book Two in the Dirty Rich series. This is the story of Cole Brooks and Lori Havens. I have read the previous book (and loved it) but feel this can be a standalone book. Lori father died, her mother had a stroke so she had to drop out of Law School to help with her mother and find jobs that helps pay the bills for them. Lori happens to meet Cole who have a instant attraction to and they act on it but Lori ups an leaves the next morning knowing that he is out of her money status. But when later when things are going better with her mother's health she takes a intern job that leads her right to Cole again. Really enjoyed their story...a hard book to put down for sure!

I received this book as an ARC reader, but I give my honest opinion. As book 2 the story only gets better. It’s Lori and Cole’s story with a connection to book 1 One Night Stand. Cole being an attorney and Lori not far from that world, they meet, they walk away, they meet for one night..... no cliffhangers here. A Must Read!!!

Love Cinderella & her Prince Charming! I loved this book! Cole was everything, & I wish I could find a Cole! Lori frustrated me, but the beauty of Lisa’s writing is that I understood her & empathized with her. Once they decided to really be in a relationship is when the book really soared for me. I also loved that we got some glimpses of Reese & Cat from Dirty Rich One Night Stand, but you do not need to read that book to enjoy this one (but you should as it’s a great book!). This book will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions, & you will not regret reading it! I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Standalone! Even though it is book #2 you don’t have to read #1 to read this! I loved book #1 too though so if you like #2 as much as me you will love #1 also! As I said I loved it! It is a modern Cinderella story! Lori is a strong independent women and Cole is a dream. After one night Cole hadn’t had enough and needed to find his Cinderella and become her Prince Charming!
